Supportive Counselling for Personal Growth

At You Thrive Counselling, I will provide a safe space where you are able to be heard, understood and valued.

We will work together exploring your individual experiences, feelings and needs; discovering the answers that are within you, to move forward towards personal growth, wellness and the life you desire.

Welcome

There are many reasons why people come for counselling. For some, the need for support may have been prompted by a recent crisis, such as a relationship breakdown or loss of a loved one. You may be aware that issues from your past are having an impact on your health and your life or life has become difficult, and you just don't know why; your thoughts can be unclear, confusing or even frightening.

As a person centred counsellor, I won't direct you or give you advice, believing we are the expert in our own life, with an inner knowing of what is right for us. Sometimes due to our life experiences, we can lose our sense of who we truly are, and where we are heading in life.

Whatever you bring to counselling, I am here to provide a calm, supportive and safe space, where you feel understood and accepted. A place to talk freely without judgement or expectations. Working at your pace, together we can look at and work through what is troubling you, finding solutions and connnecting to your needs.

Discovering again the true you, your values and aspirations, feeling empowered to live an authentic, enjoyable and more fulfilling life.

About

During a difficult period in my life, I decided to seek counselling - the experience and results were life changing and I knew then, that I wanted to help others in the way that I had been helped.

I professionally trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), adhering to their code of ethics. I am continually developing my knowledge and skills as a practitioner and I regularly undertake additional training.

Although each person's situation is unique, some of the many issues I work with include:

- Anxiety, depression, stress
- Trauma and abuse
- Domestic abuse
- Loss of confidence and low self esteem
- Grief and Loss
- Pet Bereavement
- Lifestyle concerns
- Life changes and transitions

- Addictions and substance abuse
- Relationship problems
- Personal Growth and Self Exploration
- Work Related stress

I am an autistic aware counsellor.

I strongly believe in the positive impact that counselling can have on a persons life, and I offer low cost counselling for clients who are not in the financial position to pay the full amount.
